Here is a brief write up on each member of Riley - Tuxedo Junction and the option to listen to a selection of their music.

Howard

Howard


Howard Riley is from Edgware London. He has been in Show business for 50 years now, playing guitar - trumpet - singing and arranging Harmony's for the many bands he has been involved with. He was guitarist for Clive Mc Phatter of the original Drifters, Edwin Starr and has jammed with the late Stevie Marriott(Small Faces).

He is a great musical director scoring all the music for his songs and arranging for big bands. His greatest love has always been his songwriting which has evolved over the years and now writes songs under the name Riley.

Brenda

Brenda


Howards wife (Keyboard and vocals) has just celebrated 50 years in show business. Singing with her sister Linda from an early age then turning professional in the 1960's when she was 18. They performed at all the night clubs of the time appearing with Tom Jones, The Searchers, Dusty Springfield, the Fortunes to name but a few. They travelled over the Germany to sing on the American bases as a cabaret floor show which is where she met Howard. He was in the band.

They then formed the Original Tuxedo Junction with Howards Sister Wendy, where they did a lot of cruises for P& O finally recording 30 european cruises and three legs of a world cruise. They moved on to America touring around various venues and finishing up at Las Vegus singing at many of the lounges. Now she performs with the band Tuxedo Junction along with her son Dale and husband Howard.

Dale

Dale


Dale has been singing from a young age. His first professional gigs were as a show singer main lead for Oasis Holiday Centre. He also worked for Butlins and Pontins in their production shows and worked for a number of years in the production shows at a holiday complex in Norfolk. He lived for a while in London where he sang and recorded with various bands.

Like his father Dale is interested in songwriting and has written a number of songs with his father and aunt Wendy. He now sings with Howard to form Tuxedo Duo and sings with the dance band Tuxedo Junction travelling all over the country appearing at all the top Hotels. His smooth and silky voice lends itself to swing soul and gospel music.

Claire

Claire


Is our guest vocalist she appears with us at most venue's. She is a big hit with the audience singing in the style of Peggy Lee, Alison Moyet and Amy Winehouse. She is certainly a classy singer and an asset to the band. She has recently completed her latest Album "Morgan" which Howard & Dale have penned two of the songs for her.

Wendy

Wendy


Wendy Riley: Howards sister also from Edgware London originally started out training as a classical singer having a beautiful Contralto voice. She trained with one of the most famous teachers in London for many years. She has performed with many Soul Bands in the 1960's and has been singing for 50 years having sung with many famous bands. Wendy has a wide range of musical ability's including playing the saxophone as well as singing. Her love is Jazz and has wowed audiences all over the world with her bluesy velvety voice.

Wendy also has a flair for songwriting and has worked with Howard co-writing a lot of their songs.

Linda

Linda


Linda is Brenda's Sister. She is retired now from the band but does a couple of shows a year for charity and special requests for her. She has been in show business for 50 years starting out at the age of 10 singing around the nursing homes and on variety shows in Barrow - in Furness. Then when turning professional worked with many of the famous stars from the 1960's including Tom Jones, Searchers, Dusty Springfield to name but a few.
